Mike Archer & Peter Collins had the opportunity of visiting the workshops of Ivo Salverdori in Lauson, a suburb of Basel.
Ivo restores cars to the most exacting standards with every detail as original.
We had the opportunity to drive and photograph the cars.
We compared two Alfa Guilietta Sprint Specials a high nose from 1962 and a low nose from 1957 both cars designed by Bertone you can see the differences in the design from the early car to the late. both have the famous twin cam 1300cc engines with twin webber carburettors.
Also the Alfa SVZ Coda Tronca designed by Zagato the car was ex Scuderia Sant Ambroeus a famous Italian Racing Team in period the car also competed in the Sebring 12 race.
The Montreal was unique from Autodelta and raced at the Nurburg Ring in 1973.
