ORIGINAL FERRARI WORKS

Click on the individual photos for more details

The First Establishment in Maranello

In 1943, while the war was raging, Ferrari began preparations to become a manufacturer and started looking for land suitable for constructing the plant sheds where, in 1947, the first automobiles bearing his name were to be launched. Shown here is the first establishment - subsequently damaged during the war and immeadiately rebuilt - where in the early years Ferrari produced grinding machines. The original , ochre-coloured sheds, including the entrance hall on via Abetone Inferiore, are still used today as the main entrance to Ferrari in Maranello.
Mike Archer has many archive pictures and can provide anything from digital images to fully framed prints to high quality gilichi printing.
